If I ever get some photos of my abomination of an Aleut style boat frame I
will share them . Of course I will let you know how it works on the water
also. low flat back deck/raked cockpit, smallish cockpit, short length, only
three stringers with the middle chine bumping out far enough to effectively
act like an almost single chine boat, fuller bow, less volume in the stern,
generous rocker. It will of course be fitted with all the foam pads
necessary. hopefully it will have most of the positive attributes of Aleut
and Greenland style boats . it will also (to the only somewhat trained eye)
appear to be an Aleut boat which I actually prefer the looks of even though
I started with Greenland style boats. Why build a boat like this? So I can
surf and paddle rock gardens with all those folks who use Coasters. It will
hopefully surf well, be maneuverable, and be a
