bill, i am building a 19' double, 30" wide. my cockpits are 20" circles. i
will be putting in hip braces as well as thigh and knee. have not got to
this yet. i would not want to roll this either but if we ever do find
ourselfs rolled over we will just bail out. there will be straps to step in
to get us back into the boat. the design is pretty much my own, looking at
other baidarkas and the ones i have paddled i just started building it. i am
working in the cockpit areas now so will be setting up to do the braces.
