Pat,
I would love to adopt your baidarka. I am accustomed to paddling a 19' wide
baidarka and am not too concerned about the boat being tippy. I would love
to have a wood frame baidarka, especially for events like Fort Ross where my
aluminum frame boats are a bit out of place historically speaking. I am
6'2" and weigh about 170 and am used to paddling low volume boats, surf
boats and such. If a slight adjustment needs to be made at the masik or
cockpit area for a better fit I am up to the task.
