For UK builders, there's a company called Somerset Levels
www.somersetlevels.co.uk who supply willow for craft work and garden
projects. They can supply willow branches in various diameters and ship the
bundle to your address. I bought my branches - very reasonably priced -
from them and the baidarka I built 5 years ago is still going strong..
The only downside is that by the time they reached me the branches were
drier than freshly cut ones and had to be soaked or steamed to ensure that
they'd bend without cracking.
