I am the proud owner of the new baidarka. (thanks Pat) It is in need of a
little TLC. some of the ribs are broken at the cockpit area and one is
broken where the paddlers ankles rest. The ribs are willow shoots and seem
somewhat brittle. Is this a sign that they are at the end of there useful
life throughout the boat or are these simply problem areas. I am trying to
decide if I should re rib the boat or just fix the broken ones.

-Dyson Shields (Ikyak)
-Dyson Double (Alagulot)- soon to be a triple (Kaukunlott)
-aluminum "play baidarka" (Tshinatak).
- in the works, a short(7'ish) flat bottomed planing hull, hard edged,
squirty S.O.F. surf kayak, you might call it a retrieval kayak.
