The jelly material sounds interesting. I do not know if it would help the problem of the legs falling asleep. I did read somewhere that if the legs are exercised they will not. another suggestion was that if one lifts the knees the hips will rotate automatically (try standing and flexing the knees; you will find that the hips will move as required to move the kayak back and forth. What I am wondering is could the moving of the knees help in keeping the legs awake.

I am looking forward to trying out this when the ice leaves the water.

The other thing that I have installed to experiment with is a contraption to push against with my legs. The most though important will be getting a firm fit into the kayak with my hips I think.
Becoming at one with the kayak is more important then the technical construction of the kayak or the paddle.

what thoughts to this?
